Volunteering at Milford Care Centre
Volunteers play a significant role in Milford Care Centre. Their origin goes back to the foundation of the hospice in 1977. The Volunteer Department aims to provide a comprehensive service in the provision of non-essential care in Milford Care Centre.
Our volunteers carry out indispensable tasks that let Milford provide the relaxed homely atmosphere for which it is recognised. The way volunteers interact with Milford is a dual one; they represent the outside community to our residents and patients and also bring the message of Milford to their communities.
The overarching aim of the Volunteer Department is to try and celebrate the talents of each volunteer and deploy them in the area where they will excel.
